i have had 2 babies and acne returns each time. only gets better in pregnancy. tried over the years many antibiotics, the pill, creams, chinese medicine, homeopathy, all failed. acne returns when stop.dont want to take roaccutane cos too many side effects. tried evening primrose oil – made acne worse.

I use bioidentical hormones. Initially, had DHEA and testosterone in with the estrogen creams. about a month later, got acne like a teenager. Doc stopped oral DHEA and reduced then stopped testosterone. Asked me if I wanted spironalactone to suppress testosterone. I declined. I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
