I recently caught the end of an over the counter acne treatment commercial claiming to work better than Proactiv Solution. I have used the latter for years and love it, but wouldn’t mind saving some money!!! The problem is, I can’t remember what the new brand is. . . .
Thanks for your input!

I’m going on vacation. I have a bikini that exposes my upper back, which unfortunately is covered with back pimples/zits/red spots.
What are some products I can use to get rid of them before my vacation? I don’t use any lotion or creams on my back regularly. I bought the acne body scrub, but that doesn’t seem to help.
And, what else can I do to get rid of this? Like, a particular clothing, etc.

I was pondering the subject of skin care, and i just got a thought, are men more prone to acne than women, or do they just cover it up with makeup, whereas guys just let it be.
Thoughts?
I’m surprised to hear that green, i really thought boys/men had more acne
Probably just thought so because girls cover their breakouts with makeup.

If you’re suffering from hard, painful, cystic acne, you’ve probably tried treatments that don’t really work all that well just to get rid of the pain. And while some of the treatments you’ve tried might be effective for regular acne, chances are they won’t work on cysts. Cystic acne is hard to get rid of because it comes from deep within the skin, not necessarily an outside skin source. Thus, you need a cystic acne treatment that will take care of the problem from the inside and on the outside.
1. Sulfur acne treatment care: One of the best ways to get rid of cysts is to purchase an inexpensive sulfur treatment cream online. They’re not sold in high volume at places like Target or Walmart for some reason, but places like Proactiv carry them and even give them away as free bonuses when you get their cleansing kits. You wouldn’t use the sulfur every day, but more as a topical necessity.

The first and the foremost point to be remembered in the treatment of acne is not to panic. Whiteheads or blackheads will have to be treated with a cool head! No doubt, acne on the face is bound to cause a confusing contour in the curtain of your mind, but desperate remedies are not the solutions for desperate situations.
A basic understanding of the acne situation in each individual case requires a thorough study. Fortunately or unfortunately, the literature and expertise regarding the treatment options available are likely to be confounded! A mountain of literature about the molehill that is acne!

For all those who love their beautiful and radiant skin, there are some very simple yet very effective ways to keep that skin clear and acne-free as well. Acne or acne vulgaris in medical parlance is a skin condition characterized by the eruption of small to medium sized lesions on the surface of the skin. Usually the result of increased oil production, acne often appears on the skin on the face during adolescence and tends to go away on its own.
Adult acne on the other hand, is also the result of increased production of sebum or natural oil from tiny glands in the skin called the sebaceous glands. What usually happens is that the pores get clogged and the whole thing simply erupts. It is a chain reaction- inflammation follows after the clogging, and the anaerobic bacteria begin to spread on the surface of the face.

Acne is a common problem to people especially to youngsters and is true as well for adults. Numerous treatment options for acute cases are recommended but it is better to see a dermatologist in your area before conducting any treatment possible.
Generally, acne starts at the age of puberty and can even last longer in years. In some cases it even reaches the age of adulthood. Initially, it is important to try everyday skin care hygiene to stop the development of acne. It is necessary to now have a talk to a dermatologist before the problem gets worse. Its far better to consult a doctor if you already notice even a little problem arising, otherwise scarring takes place. Prevention from scarring is better even if there are treatment options available.

Acne and our teen years seem to go hand-in-hand but fortunately many who had to suffer through acne as an adolescent no longer have problems as they get older. On the other hand, the number of adults who struggle with acne may surprise you. While teenagers do make up the highest number of the acne suffering public, it is surprisingly more common in adults than you might think.
It is also becoming increasingly clear that the psychological, social and physical effects of this condition are common occurrences in adults and can and do cause many problems. The reasons are not yet clear but according to recent studies, acne is becoming an increasing problem among adults.
