Obviously I know people will be concerned, and of course I’m aware of them, I’m taking action, right?
I think I suffer from something called Dermatillomania, although luckily it is not as severe as picking of the hands and legs, etc.
I would really appreciate a list of great advice, techniques, help, prevention, how to cover up minor acne scarring, brown spots (dried pimple areas), and other things like that.
People think that this can just go away, all it takes is power, but like any addiction, it’s really hard to let go fully.

I would most likely choose a best answer with a lot of information.
A LOT.
I will not takes “i don’t know, stop!” or a paragraph of common sense type answers.
Obviously I could have and did do that on my own.
Be creative, encouraging and gracious with your answers.

When using an acne treatment regime for the first time that my dermatologist prescribed, how long do the break outs last for? I am almost 6 weeks into my treatment and I am breaking out. I still have all these lumps on my face when I blow my face that will probably raise in a week or two (im guessing). When will i stop breaking out?

Lately I have been using topical acne treatment where the main parts of my acne were (T-zone), and after about a week of using the medication, the acne has significantly cleared up. Even though, every time I wash my face I can see that the places where I used the medication have become dry and somewhat flakey. Seeing this I used a acne-preventing moisturizer and that helps during the day but my skin is still dry after I wash it. Should I still continue this routine?

Ive had acne since I was a teenager and now I suffer with anxiety and Doctors seem to think thats why it breaks out but I use clean and clear products and dove unscented soap and it doesn’t seem to help at all.

How to stop picking at acne?! Plz help!?

I am 14 years old, and I have been getting horrible acne. My horrible habit is that I keep picking at it! No matter how hard I try I can’t stop picking. I don’t even realize when i am doing it! My face looks just horrible, but I love the feeling I get when I start picking! I know that if I keep picking I will get scars and it just is horrible, BUT I JUST CAN’T SEEM TO STOP NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY! I am using acne products, but do you guys have any ideas of what I can do to relax myself instead of picking? Something my hands can do? I have tried some things like playing with my hands and distracting myself with other activities in school, but it still doesn’t STOP ME!

P.S. I think I pick so much, because I have had problems with anxiety, I don’t know if this will help, thanks!
