Question by Aimy: Should I stop using a topical acne medication if my face has become dry?
Lately I have been using topical acne treatment where the main parts of my acne were (T-zone), and after about a week of using the medication, the acne has significantly cleared up. Even though, every time I wash my face I can see that the places where I used the medication have become dry and somewhat flakey. Seeing this I used a acne-preventing moisturizer and that helps during the day but my skin is still dry after I wash it. Should I still continue this routine?

Getting rid of acne scars is the next challenge we must face after acne. Some scars left by acne after it heals can be superficial scars; other scars left by acne can be deep scars. If an acne is not treated early with medication or any advance procedures that stops acne it can lead to scarring, these scars can sometimes be deep. If the scars left by acne are on the face, it can affect a person’s self-esteem, it can affect his or her social life, so it is very important to avoid acne scars, you can do this by treating your acne if it is juts starting to develop at an early stage, this way you can stop it from spreading and after it heal you can avoid acne scars.

Use a medication that can remove acne scars, you may want to purchase a medication that has elements that can remove and get rid of acne and acne scars, this kind of medication is a great powerful medication to stop acne and remove acne scars, whether you have no more acne and is just left with acne scars you need this kind of medication because even if you are just using a medication that can only get rid of acne scars but can’t get rid of acne you are only doing the same thing over again, because the medication you have doesn’t have the power to stop acne but can only remove or erase acne scars.

females, when did your acne stop?

i know im only 21 and its normal for me to still get acne but i was just wondering when most woman stop getting acne. im really bothered by it lately. what products do you use to suppress it, which ones have seem to work best?

Well, I use an acne prevention liquid in the morning, 5:00pm – 6:00pm, and at night, but I STILL get the acne! What kind of foods should I stop eating to stop this madness! xD

Obviously I know people will be concerned, and of course I’m aware of them, I’m taking action, right?
I think I suffer from something called Dermatillomania, although luckily it is not as severe as picking of the hands and legs, etc.
I would really appreciate a list of great advice, techniques, help, prevention, how to cover up minor acne scarring, brown spots (dried pimple areas), and other things like that.
People think that this can just go away, all it takes is power, but like any addiction, it’s really hard to let go fully.

I would most likely choose a best answer with a lot of information.
A LOT.
I will not takes “i don’t know, stop!” or a paragraph of common sense type answers.
Obviously I could have and did do that on my own.
Be creative, encouraging and gracious with your answers.

When using an acne treatment regime for the first time that my dermatologist prescribed, how long do the break outs last for? I am almost 6 weeks into my treatment and I am breaking out. I still have all these lumps on my face when I blow my face that will probably raise in a week or two (im guessing). When will i stop breaking out?

Ive had acne since I was a teenager and now I suffer with anxiety and Doctors seem to think thats why it breaks out but I use clean and clear products and dove unscented soap and it doesn’t seem to help at all.

How to stop picking at acne?! Plz help!?

I am 14 years old, and I have been getting horrible acne. My horrible habit is that I keep picking at it! No matter how hard I try I can’t stop picking. I don’t even realize when i am doing it! My face looks just horrible, but I love the feeling I get when I start picking! I know that if I keep picking I will get scars and it just is horrible, BUT I JUST CAN’T SEEM TO STOP NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY! I am using acne products, but do you guys have any ideas of what I can do to relax myself instead of picking? Something my hands can do? I have tried some things like playing with my hands and distracting myself with other activities in school, but it still doesn’t STOP ME!

P.S. I think I pick so much, because I have had problems with anxiety, I don’t know if this will help, thanks!
