I’ve tried prescription but didn’t like it
I tried proactiv and it made my skin bright red and very very painful for days.
My skin is combination, so I have a lot of dry flaky patches as well as acne. What’s a good solution to get rid of my acne, without irritating or making my skin dryer?

I have a LOT of small bumps, probably blackheads or whatever, and the occasional large pimple, and I don’t know what to use because my skin is really sensitive. Proactiv made my face burn and hurt very, very badly, and I turned bright red and for a week or so people were asking me how I got so ‘sunburnt.’ And I’ve already tried prescription acne medication, didn’t work well.

I just have some acne on my forehead and I just want to get rid of it, or at least reduce it and prevent new ones from forming because I’m starting high school in late August. I can’t use anything with benzoyl peroxide because even if I just use a little bit, my skin gets red and irritated. What is the best acne treatment for people like me?

Like, if you used a strong acne product, but after a while, you’re face got used to it, will your face become less sensitive to other products?

I have tried Proactive, clean and clear “soft”, and Clinique and nothing seems to work. It will work for 3 days and then my skin becomes flaky and VERY dry and the dry skin doesn’t disappear for up to 2 weeks. I am currently using Acne Free (just started yesterday). What will work for my skin type? It can be over the counter or i can ask my dermatologist for the medication.
