Acne products are heavily marketed with the promise of clearing up this sometimes embarrassing condition. And because acne products are such a big business, some companies will market what sells best even if it is not as effective as it could be. Now we have all heard the different myths about what causes breakouts including chocolate and potato chips. Acne products are frequently recommended by dermatologists because they correct every oily skin imperfection daily.

Acne products are made from different materials in different bases to suit different skin types. But the question is: how to decide which is the most suitable products for your skin type? Acne products are easily available in the market and as well as on the Internet. You can easily order acne products online by paying through credit cards. Acne products are available as well, with products for moderate acne, products for teens who have severe acne, and adults who are dealing with severe acne. So what are some of the common treatments?

Benzoyl peroxide, a common and effective ingredient contained in most acne products. These products are probably thought to be the ones which are most effective in reducing the acne infecting bacteria termed as the “Propionibacterium acnes”, which clog the pores while creating acne lesions. It also removes dead skin cells, thus preventing the appearance of comedones. Benzoyl peroxide because it is the most effective and most commonly used agent, is typically the agent of choice for non-inflammatory acne.

Dermaclear is the acne product of choice for many consumers, due to its power to reduce acne breakouts. One thing to bear in mind though is that Dermaclear acne products are intended to be preventive, and should not be used as spot treatment for sudden acne breakouts. Dermaclear is a combination cleanser / skin care product, that is has Lauryl sulfacte and Salicylic acid in it for cleaning skin without rinsing and clearing up and preventing further acne. It also has 8-HO quinoline and tartaric acid to fade marks (not deep scars) left from earlier blemishes.

If you have cysts or lesions, medical treatment is the best way to get rid of them. Acne cysts take a lot of time to heal since the infection is deep seated. Medicated cleansers for acne treatment usually contain salicylic acid (aspirin) or antibacterial agents. Neem contains aspirin like substances and is also antibacterial. Medicated pads also apply medications much more evenly that trying to apply the same medicine with fingertips ? we know this from studies done with fluorescent dyes. Using a pad, the dye spreads evenly like using a roller to paint a wall; the fingertips leave a very uneven pattern, more or less like a finger painting.

If you want a product for really severe acne, then you may need to discuss prescription acne products a doctor. Sometimes, oral medications are prescribed to help fight the bacteria problem. Prescription treatments (including oral contraceptives), proactive skin care and over-the-counter acne products are just as appropriate.

Finally, although not exactly a product one thing you can do yourself to help combat acne is to improve your lifestyle. By that I mean making sure you get your eight glasses of water a day and your five portions of fruit or vegetables. Not only will this help you clear your skin, but it will also give you other health benefits too.

It is a misconception that acne only affects the teenagers. Acne can occur in people of all ages and affects both males and females. Adults are also likely to suffer from some form of acne. Products for acne treatment that one can find in the market are suitable for people of all age groups. Acne is a burdensome problem and common cause of worry among the youngsters. It can develop on face, neck, and chest. Acne is basically caused when pores get blocked by oil or dead skin. There are different types of products available in the market to treat acne. Choose an acne product that suits your skin type and does not leave major side effects.Acne can be caused due to various factors and it’s hard to determine its exact cause. Dirt, bacteria, sebum and over activity of sebaceous glands leads to the development of acne. In case of adolescents, hormonal imbalances are the most common cause of acne. Environmental factors like pollution and harsh sun rays can aggravate acne. Dandruff can also trigger acne so make sure that your scalp remains dandruff free. It’s advisable to use an acne treatment product at an appropriate time because delay in treating acne can damage your skin by causing permanent scars and pits. An improper diet that lacks in essential nutrients can worsen the situation further. Make sure you consume a diet rich in nutrients and avoid having sweet and oily food.An ideal acne treatment product must clear the acne and prevent its further occurrence. It’s not easy to choose an acne treatment product because the market is flooded with different kinds of products. Also, new products keep getting released from time to time so one has to keep a check on the market. It’s a good idea to consult a skin specialist before trying any product. A specialist will check your skin type and the severity of your acne before suggesting an acne product that compliments your skin type and that has a well-balanced chemical composition effective enough to check the recurrence of acne permanently.Once you get an idea about the range of acne products available in the market, consider trying the one that suits your skin type and condition. Prefer buying an acne product that promises to clear, control and prevent occurrence of acne. You might need to test a few products to get the most effective product for your skin. Apart from using an acne product, follow a good and well balanced diet regime. Use a good quality cleanser and moisturizer on your skin. The causes for acne can be internal as well as external so one must make sure that he/she drinks adequate quantity of water and gets enough sleep. Water helps in flushing out the toxins from the body and a sound sleep of 6 hours is a must to rejuvenate your mind that is the master gland and supervises the function of every cell. So one can say, ?a healthy mind is the first step to have a beautiful body!

Article by J-Solutions

Effective acne prevention requires using the right treatments, and adjusting product use and hygiene habits. If you want to know how to get rid of pimples, and deal with other skin problems like oiliness and blackheads, take a look at these great tips from the acne prevention experts at Nature’s Cure.Oily hair can aggravate acne, so stay away from oily products like pomades or hair spray, especially if you want to get rid of pimples on your forehead. If your hair is long, wear it pulled back or consider a shorter style that keeps it off your face, neck and shoulders if acne prevention is important in those areas. Be sure to pull your hair away from your skin when you sleep so those pimples don’t develop overnight.Use “noncomedogenic” (won’t clog pores or cause blackheads) or “nonacnegenic” (won’t cause pimples) cosmetics and suntan lotions.Avoid using moisturizers on acne-prone areas to get rid of pimples you have there or practice good acne prevention; if you do use a moisturizer, make sure it is not acnegenic.Use topical treatments, such as Nature’s Cure medicated spray, anywhere that you tend to get breakouts for acne prevention – don’t just spot-treat existing blackheads and pimples. The pore-clogging process happens two to three weeks before any blackheads or blemishes become visible on the skin. Since the salicylic acid acne medication in the body spray is an exfoliant, it helps to remove the dead skin that combines with oil and dirt to form those nasty blackheads and whiteheads that can get infected and become pimples.Wash the skin gently with a mild soap or cleanser and warm (not hot) water once or twice daily. Hot water and harsh cleansers can further irritate your skin and undermine your acne prevention efforts. It’s tempting to try to scrub away acne, but that’s not how to get rid of pimples. Scrubbing too hard or too frequently can actually make your acne worse and promote scarring by increasing inflammation or rupturing cysts under your skin, making bacteria spread.Don’t pick acne or blackheads on your face or body. It can permanently scar your skin. If you must pick, immediately apply a topical antibiotic to help stave off infection.Since stress can trigger acne, try to avoid stressful situations, resolve stresses by talking to friends/family or a professional, and be sure to eat right and get enough sleep. Sometimes the stress of having acne and trying to figure out how to get rid of pimples can make things worse. But if you take action toward acne prevention with these tips, you can diffuse some of that stress.Exercising regularly can also help reduce stress and it increases blood circulation and oxygen penetration to the skin, which may help with acne prevention.Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day to help “detoxify” the body from the inside out.Avoid hot, humid environments such as poorly ventilated kitchens, gyms, or tropical climates and stay away as much as possible from cooking grease or machine oil that can contribute to blackheads and clogged pores. If you work out, bring along pre-moistened alcohol towelettes to wipe sweat off your face, back and chest. Use towels to cover neck and chest areas to prevent coming in direct contact with the equipment. If you want to know how to get rid of pimples on your body, you need to realize that bumps on chest and back can be caused by tight fitting workout clothes that trap moisture and heat, so wear loose-fitting all-cotton clothing when you work out.Wear loose fitting clothing whenever possible and try to avoid friction against the skin caused by helmets, straps, backpacks or handbags.Sweat combines with skin oils to trap dirt and bacteria in your pores, causing blackheads and pimples, so it’s important to shower as soon as possible after you work out or sweat profusely.Clean cosmetic brushes regularly in soapy water and throw out old, contaminated makeup. Since bacteria is one of the key causes of acne, anything that keeps bacteria from touching your skin will help in acne prevention.

I work for a local doctor who is developing a skincare line and we need a name.

This line will be sold to 24 – 65 year olds, primarily women. Price point will be between $20 – $80 per products, with most skewing on the lower end of that range. Products include cleansers, toners, exfoliators, antioxidants, acne treatments and more. The line focuses on facial rejuvenation and sun damage prevention (as well as acne treatment).

The only guidelines for the name are as follows:

* This is a doctor brand so the name needs to be medical, not commercial

* The domain name for the line name must be available. So for example, if the name is “Skin Essentials” than www.skinessentials.com needs to be available for purchase either directly through a registrar like GoDaddy.com or through a third party

I’ve tried everything over the counter, from mild cleansers and toners, facial masks, acne pills to ordering products online and thru catologs. They may work for a short time or not at all or it may make the problem worse. I drink lots and lots of water everyday, love vegtables and try to stay away from too much sugar. I know that any impurities within will come out but with all the water I drink, I’m not sure anymore.
