I usually get breakouts every once in a while around the time of my period and what not, but just the past week or my entire face is breaking out terriably. I wash it daily, but have changed my face wash and think that may be the reason for the big breakouts. So with that said what do you think is the best over the counter acne medication ??
Thanks in advance !!

Spironolactone is generally prescribed as an “off label” acne treatment for women. This drug, though intended to help people with heart problems not zit problems, reduces the production of the hormone androgen. Androgen promotes excess facial oil secretion.
Less oil secretion limits the possibility of having clogged pores and acne flare-ups.

My social anxiety stems from my teenage years when I had stage 5 acne(affecting roughly 1 in 10,000 during their adolencense) nodular cystic acne over 80% of my face. I’m clear now, but I have never got rid of the anxiety I feel around people.
I’m in a band, and while I’ve played many shows, I still get so nervous I almost puke when I go out in play. The only thing I have found that helps is having some alcohol before the show, but not enough to affect my coordination.

Hi, I am over weight and currently looking for an over the counter acne medication that works. I have tried stridex, clearasil, noxema, and acne free and those didn’t work. I tried clean and clear, and that worked for a little while. I also tried Neutrogena, that was the best, but it quit working. Can anyone please tell me something besides these products that you have tried and found sucessful?

Alright, my husband used to see a dermatologist for his adult acne. Since he joined the military, the Army dermatologists have totally messed up his skin. They took him off of the antibiotics that were working and put him on something else. It totally irritated his skin and so he stopped treatment altogether. Does anyone out there know of a good over the counter cleanser and/or acne kit that works on this kind of acne?
