Adult male acne and naturopathic medicine?
I was wondering if anyone has visited with a naturopathic doctor for adult male acne, and if so, did they give you any alternative supplements that helped? I seem to be getting skin problems again in my 40′s!
Thank you.
What Acne Medicine works best?
I get the occasional breakout of 3-4 big acne cysts that take a week or two to heal. What would be the best prevention/solution to this. Looking for a prescription topical medication like Differin, Azelex, Epiduo…anyone have experience using any or all of these meds.

Acne Medicine, Isotretinoin – The Price Of Beauty
When 13-cis retinoic acid or isotretinoin first came out as an acne medicine, it was regarded as a wonderful new way of treating acne, especially severe acne. It appeared to be able to cure acne, especially the severe from known as cystic acne.
I have a friend who has very severe acne. She is actually quite pretty. Unfortunately, it is hard to notice that as the acne seems to take all the attention away from her features. It was so bad everyone could see the problem but nobody dared to talk about it for fear of upsetting her further. Her face was constantly looking red and inflammed. Scars had begun to form from the healing lesions. Her self-confidence was really low and she had tried everything to cure her acne.
Which Type of Acne Medicine?
Everyone will have some form of acne at some point in his or her life. Skin blemishes consist of more than just pimples and affect everyone. Acne affects nearly all teenagers and over seventeen million adults have been affected by acne. What causes the skin to break out? Well one thing that is common in middle-aged woman and young teenagers is hormones.
Hormonal changes in the body will cause acne resulting from clogged pores. When the body produces oils and congregates dirt, the pores in the face or other body parts begin to clog. This is mainly because the oil will cause dirt to stick to your pores. You will also find that stress, cosmetics, and medications will also cause acne to form.
Association with acne medicine and Anxiety?
Hello,
I have been taking a prescribed acne medication called minocycline for about a year now. The pill looks half red, half pink and i take 2 pills a day as my doctor told me told me to (which adds up to 200mg). I have been on this medication now for about a year, and just recently i have developed a case of depersonalization anxiety where i feel life is not a reality and i am detached from myself. I did research, and this type of anxiety is apparently a side affect of the medication. I believe that because I have been on the medication for so long, (which by the way cleared up my acne greatly) that it has given me this anxiety. Can anyone confirm that withdrawal from this medication will help me loose the depersonalization effect and if this has worked for any sufferers of it, or am i just experiencing temporary anxiety.
Thanks,
Zach
