I am a teenager and I get the normal whiteheads and the painful, long-lasting under-skin pimples as well. I have tried many types of acne medication and they have either been useless or made it worse. I have oily skin. My acne is not really severe, but it is still painful and embarrassing. What would be the best thing for me to use? Thank you so much!

Acne is not an easy condition to treat. It is a disease of the skin that affects each individual differently and accordingly each case of serious acne has to be seen separately to give it a proper treatment. While there is no catch-all treatment, which can be used for all kind of acne, a lot of trial and error method would be needed to find an effective treatment for each individual.
