My 23 year old daughter is the youngest of three children. She is a lovely girl who graduated from a fine University one year ago. She took a job right after graduation with a large retail company and was hired into a management training program. Within a few months she started to suffer from anxiety attacks and her health started to fail. She developed all kinds of somatic complaints including some physical problems like severe acne which she had never had before. All physical exams and blood work came up negative. She would not take antidepressants but tried exercise and yoga. She quit the job and things improved but now I notice she is starting to suffer from anxiety and hypochondria again. She calls me on the phone every few days telling me she is sure she has skin cancer or lymphoma. Because I am a nurse I know her symptoms are not related. In the past we determined that 24 hours after any alcohol she would go through these fragile times. Any ideas or similar experiences?

The bad chemical burn, took me 2 weeks to recover with prescripted medicine from the doctor and lots of aloe vera. My skin is never the same afterwards because it go so disrupted. It now looks rougher and more wrinkly. I took it bad to the clinique counter and the girls there made it sound like it’s my fault. Did anyone else experience this and know a solution to correcting what has been damaged?

I was looking up at home chemical peels and there are all sorts of different acids to choose from like glycolic, lactic, and salicylic. I will be doing the peels on my lower back where my acne scars are. I don’t care about pain or discomfort I just want whatever will work best and fastest.

It can be a never ending war trying to determine which is better for treating acne: commercial, chemical based products or natural acne solutions.
The war is one that is often won by the skin care companies due to their large marketing budgets and ability to publicize themselves so easily. Natural acne solutions however are less well known, and are more so passed down by word of mouth from generation to generation.
For this reason, there are many misconceptions, from both sides of the scope, as to how good both commercial and natural acne treatments are. Trying to dispel these misconceptions is no easy task, and usually requires a lot of researcher by the reader. Fortunately however, this article will serve as a quick reference point for you in determining whether natural acne solutions or chemical products are better for treating your acne.
