Should I apply lotion or moisturizer after applying acne treatment?

I am currently using Aveeno’s Clear Complexion Cleansing Pads. Obviously, because it’s an anti-acne product, my skin is left dry after use. Should I apply anything else (like moisturizer or lotion, etc.) onto my face after this? I don’t want to be introducing unnecessary oils to my face after acne treatment, but it feels like I should take further action.

applying lotions just clogs the pores…especially after cleansing…i would stick with aveeno lotions if your going to apply lotions…or apply them before bed and cleanse in the morning… it might not get as dry if your skin is already hydrated…aveeno is a great brand tho i use their lotions and face washes!
Don’t use an oil-based moisturizer, it’s tacky and would only leave your skin shiny. Apply a water-based moisturizer after using the anti-acne cleansing pads. This type of moisturizer is light, not tacky or greasy, binds with your skin, and doesn’t leave skin shiny. In fact, it makes skin glow.
Lotions make your face look oily so use a moisturizer…..and make sure to wash your hands before you put it on.
Even oily skin must be moisturized. The lotions are lighter and feel less oily than the creams. You can buy moisturizers for oily skin. One I think would work for you is Olay Total Effects daily moisturizer for blemish prone skin. It is very light and feels nice going on. It helps prevent breakouts as well. I use this when my skin feels oily (that time of the month) and it works great.
oil free moisturizer
Use a lightweight moisturiser. Problem with acne skin is it may become dry on the outside after cleansing. So still important to use a moisturise but choose it carefully. Make sure it is suitable for oily skin and definitely don’t choose one that is for dry skin.
moisterizer without oil
You should use the products by Aveeno in the same ‘Clear Complexion’ line. There is an astringent, moisturizer, several cleansers and a few other products. They are usually developed to work together. Skin ALWAYS needs moisture–just needs to be the right kind. Good luck.

My secret treatment for zits–a product by ORIGINS called ‘Spot Remover’ comes in a little teeny bottle–lasts a long time. I love, love, love ORIGINS body products.
NOoo’,e`. !!! just use it & let your face go bare for awhile !! In order to give that stuff time to relly start to work !! And then after awhile as that stuff starts to dry up… squirt about a dime sized amount of lotion in the palm of your hand !! & place it mainly on the areas you feel get real dry anyway or most times !! Defiantly you should apply a moisturizer after. Try a lotion one not creams. Creams are heavier and lotion base is lighter. Don’t be scared of oil, because oil only cuts through oil. Its bacteria what makes you break out and clogged pores. So washing your face every night and morning and applying a moisturizer will help you. SPF always!
Use an “oil free” moisturizer. You don’t want your skin to be left so dry because then you are just trading one problem for another. Also, if it starts drying out too much you can switch to every other day. Usually doesn’t seem to make a dif. if you use every day or every OTHER day. I would def. get an oil free moisturizer though. Try not to buy ones with sunscreen unless you actually need it. I also saw an infomercial the other day (and yes I know they can usually make poo look good) but it said that their product does not use benzoyl peroxide (what is in your product that is drying out your skin). Its worth checking out the site anyway and making your own decision. Good luck!
I would use both lets say I just put the acne cleaner right I would wait an hour and then put moisturizer than wait until my face gets dry and add the lotion.
