I heard that touching your face causes acne?
A girl I know, ( With PERFECT skin. ) told me that touching your face causes acne. Now I’m afraid to scratch it when I have an itch! So my question is, does it cause acne? I don’t know if she was right, but her skin was really clear. & She was a teenager, & teenagers usually have tons of acne.

for some yes, dont put your hands in your face often, once or twice you’ll be fine
It contributes to it, yeah.
Because of the oil on your hands.
well it is true but people who do it probably have dirty hands. the dirt get mixed with oil on the face and that’s how pimples are formed so wash your hands and keep your face clean.
hope i helped!
Yes, it can. If you have oily fingers or even oily hair, the oil can clog your pores and cause pimples. Don’t be afraid to scratch that itch! Just make sure your hands are clean!
Yes its true .
try not to touch it a ton, but you can touch it.
yeah it does. especially when you’re outside, cus you’ve been touching all these things that other people touch. plus the oils from your hands cause acne. so yeah dont touch your face excessively if they’re not clean, but scratching your face is okay
ok that is freakishly false……..but touching your face when u have a lot of dirt on it can give u pimples because dirt and oil can block pores, teenagers going through puberty get more pimples because they have more oil on their skin, because of foods they may have eaten when they were young, so maybe this girl didn’t eat a ton of oily foods, also acne is something which runs in a family, it may be that her family has a history of clear skin.
Yeah, it can cause INFECTION only if you scratch like mad with your fingernails, not Acne, so don’t listen to that poppycock…
Hair laying across your forehead can transfer its oil into your skin which is bad and causes clogged pores.
Even if your hands look clean, they’re not. They have bacteria, dirt and oil on them, and when you touch your face, it transfers over and can cause break outs.
If your face is itchy, go wash your hands then scratch your face, you should be okay as long as you only touch your face right after you wash your hands.
