How can I get rid of my acne and red marks?
I have consistently been getting pimples on my chin for a while. I have had a few on my cheeks, but my chin is horrible. I get new pimples every couple days. Sometimes big ones, sometimes small ones. But whats worse is the red marks that are left behind. I tried Clearasil pads, Sea Breeze Astingent, AcneFree, and currently using Neutrogena Wash (which shows some improvement in prevention). Howcan I prevent new pimples, and more importantly get rid of the ugly red marks all over left by previous ones?

Proactiv.
As long as you use it regularly , it works really well.
It gets rid of acne, as well as prevents it from coming back.
The miracle medicine I swear by is Acne Free Severe. It has done magic on my skin and I rec it to everyone I know.

See a dermatologist, it is worth it. My daughter has bad acne and we tried everything. I took her to see a dermatologist and her acne dramatically improved in a short period of time. If the over the counter stuff doesn’t work for you, it’s time to see a specialist!
Two Words “Proactive Solution”
my sis and bro has had exceptional results with proactiv …e?
you can get a 30 day supply for like $ 40.00…they had results OVERNIGHT.
I recently stopped drinking soda, eating junk or greasy foods, and drank a whole lot of water. My face finally was clear of blemishes and pimples. I’m 22 and that is the only thing that ever worked better than the Proactiv. Literally 2 days after eating junk again.. my face is so broken out. Try changing your diet. It’s amazing!! Good luck.
Goto dermatologist and get a prescription is one option.
I have heard many good things about Pro Active as well.( I can’t use it allergy to Benzoyl Peroxide)
There is also laser resurfacing if your scars are that bad, which is usually done by a dermatologist as well.
Any Benzoyl Peroxide cream will work. But you need a prescription. Go see a dermatoligist.
Whenever my son would break out with acne I would have him wash is face with noxzema in the morning and at night. Use warm water and then rinse with cool. You have to do it twice a day. And cut out the pop and greasy foods.
Change your diet. I found that eliminating a lot of junk food, and eating healthier, affected the type of acne that I would experience. It also cleared hives that I used to get.
Pimples are your body excreting toxins through the skin; the skin is the largest excretory organ of the body.
Stop eating meats, eggs, dairy, junk foods, soft drinks, anything not a fruit or vegetable. Your body will then initiate a cleansing process which will amaze you. After you are detoxed, there will be no more skin eruptions, period, because you have stopped putting toxic materials in your body.
I saw a dermatologist at the American Natural Hygiene Society annual meeting in 1977 who claimed that all his patients who went on a raw fruit and vegetable diet recovered from all their dermatological problems; 100%. And NO medication.

Hi Anthony
You don’t say how old you are but over 85% of teenagers get some degree of Acne. It ranges in it’s severity between simple ‘blackheads’ and ‘whiteheads’ – spots without pus – spots with pus – and large ‘nodules’ deep under the skin. Its got nothing to do with eating greasy food, too much chocolate, poor hygiene, masterbating, and many other myths. It IS to do with hormonal changes and blocked hair follicles – although good hygiene will help a little and so will a healthy diet. This website gives all the technical stuff on it:

It’s true that any treatments you put on your skin do little to help – in fact those that dry-out your skin too much can make matters worse. If after looking at the site you think yours is bad enough – or if it is really getting you down – then go to see your doctor. Before referring you to a Dermatologist, the GP might try you on some other treatments which can only be obtained on prescription. These may start off with anti-bacterial creams – antibiotic creams – oral antibiotics – retinoid creams – and finally: oral retinoids. The top-end of the treatments is called ‘Roaccutane’ in the UK. This can only be prescribed by a consultant Dermatologist, because it can have some very severe side effects. So you can see that there is much that can be done for the problem. I’m afraid that its true that many (not all) of the doctors fully appreciate the effect Acne has on a person’s self-esteem and confidence. As far as scars are concerned – the red marking will disappear over time. Deep pitting can happen in some cases but this is normally a result of long-tern untreated Acne. Also ’squeezing’ spots is a definate NO-NO, and will increase the chance of permanent scars. Good luck.
an important step into reducing acne is to wash your face after you sweat, before you sleep, or when you wake up in the morning to clean off any oil that can clog up your pores. I use to have a lot of acne on my chin too. But after i learned to clean my skin more often, it went away. right now, i am using Neutrogena oil-free acne wash every morning and night before i sleep so my face can be clean. I also recommend putting on some acne cream before you sleep so it can work its magic while you sleep. But overall, drink a lot of water (it gives you better skin) and try hard not to squeeze your pimple or the red spots will only get worse.
You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as a simple home remedy. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
