How can i get rid of acne scars without spending so much money?

I’ve had acne for a few years now and i think its all gone. now i just have these scars from picking at them. are there any home remedies or cheap products i can buy to get rid of them and wont dry out or make my skin really oily??

I’m not a doctor, but my dermatologist is one of the best! He informed me that sylicic acid isn’t the cure for acne, but rather use face washes without sylicic acid. Proactive, according to him, is a fancier version of sylicic acid, I love that stuff though, the texture is great, but it doesn’t stop it from coming back. I use facial toners after I wash, that helps the ph balance, I think to get rid of scars, or make them minimal, you have to give them proper balance of moisture from ph balance and a small amount of moisturizer after. also, try to avoid direct sun light because sun light can be damaging to all skin types, even scars. good luck!

The ingredients you would need is just
– Green Tea ( anti oxidant that delays aging, fights acne, oil control )
– Sugar ( releases glycolic acid which is a natural hydroxy acid that exfoliates the skin. Also glyclocerin which softens the skin )
– Honey for smoothness, Lemon to cleanse even more, or Bioyogurt to soothe)
1. Make yourself 1/3 cup of green tea and set that aside for 2 minutes till it is warm, but don’t add cold water because you want the powers of the green tea to come out.
2. Get yourself 3 tablespoons of sugar in a separate bowl and mix it in with the warm NOT hot green tea.
3. Add in either honey,lemon juice,or bioyogurt
4.Put a reasonable amount on your face and begin to gently scrubbing since the sugar hasn’t dissolved, it works as an exfoliater. Do that for 1-2 minutes
5. With a cotton pad, whip your face with green tea.( just a little )
6. Now rinse your face with WARM water, and clearly.
7. Pat dry
8. Whip with green tea again
9. Moisturize
The left over mixture can be stored in the refrigerator for a week
Doing this will not just get rid of acne but the scars by exfoliating the scared tissue.

How do acne scars develop?
If your acne pimple gets inflamed or doesn’t heal properly, healthy skin can be damaged underneath the pimple. This damaged skin is replaced when the body produces new tissue fibres (scar tissue).
Treatment methods
Laser resurfacing – This is a relatively new procedure and involves using a carbon dioxide laser to burn away damaged skin. The penetration depth is accurately controlled. As this damaged skin is removed, new skin cells develop and within a few weeks the patient should see a much smoother complexion.
Dermabrasion – A small rotating wire brush or a spinning diamond instrument is used to remove the layers of damaged skin. When this area starts healing, smoother and younger skin will appear.
Chemical peel – an acidic solution is used to peel away the damaged skin which is replaced by new skin within a few weeks. Solutions range from mild to deep penetration and although some can be administered at home, it would be a good idea to get your dermatologist to apply it.
Punch graphs – Usually reserved for deep acne scars, this procedure involves punching out the scar, taking a replacement plug from an inconspicuous area (behind the ear, for example) and using it to replace the damaged area.
Be sure to check with your doctor prior to starting any type of procedure on your own. He or she can help guide you and can provide you with information relative to the one that will help you the best.

I heard of a way to get rid of acne scar using treatment that is getting more and more popular nowadays, is the so called micro-dermal abrasion. The term itself means something like resurfacing of the skin. There are different ways for doing that, one is getting a do-it-at-home kit while the other is consulting a professional and getting the procedure done by specialists.

I have cleared my skin. I am 22, I have had acne for 10 years!
I use these three product in the morning and at night
1. Cetaphyl Antibacterial Bar Soap (about $4)
2. St. Ives Blemish & Blackhead Control (about $4)
3. ZNP bar (available online for about $11)
Use them in the order listed. Let the soap sit for a few minutes on your skin to absorb and kill bacteria. The sallysic acid in the st. ives will dissolve the bacteria that is in your pores. This soap is also a great exfoliator. If you have acne, you should exfolliate twice a day. The zinc in the ZNP bar will clear up blemishes from sweating, usually the smaller ones on the forhead or jawline.
If i have a breakout, I will use 10% benzoyl peroxide.
Even the first day you use this regime, your skin will improve. Id say it takes about 3 weeks to clear up. Keep it up to see long lasting results.
ive seen this vid on youtube about a this girl that mentions that putting a dab of vitamin e oil on the scars will gradually help in diminishing them. ive also heard this in several other articles which im ssure and ill hope it will work for all of us with scars. (i havent tried it since i still struggle with acne a bit) Also, microdermabrasion helps too since it slowly peels of layers of skin to reveal newer and smoother skin. its not that pricy (from 15 to 30 bucks on stores) or more professional stuff but obviously thats what your not looking for. anyways, hope you find a way so you can let me know when its my turn ha ha.
