Has some one ever suffered from Cystic Acne and has gotten thier face cleared up?

I have suffered from Cystic Acne for quite some time now and I dont know what to do about it.I have been to the doctor but I get discouraged when I dont see anything working.If you have dealt with this issue can you tell me how you dealt with the issue.What medication worked the best? Thanks

I took Accutane and it worked great.
edit I took it for 5 months. I think I may have continued to use either oral Tetracycline or topical Clinamyacin too. It was quite some time ago so I can’t say for sure.
