can trans fat be absorbed through skin contact?
Weird question, I know. lol. Well, I’ve heard WONDERFUL things about using Crisco (with some essential oil) has a moisturizer. An older woman that I work with says shes been using it for years, and everyone thinks shes 20 years younger than what she is.
I’m all about preventing future wrinkles. After googling this Crisco theory, only one question comes to mind… If consuming Crisco is so unhealthy (due to the trans fat) Is there any way that the trans fat could absorb through your skin and give your arteries all the fat as if you had eaten it? I’ve also found nothing about it clogging pores or causing acne. Anyone with personal experience, and not just guessing?
I’m 25. I don’t smoke, I drink twice or so a month, and drink lots and lots of water. I have a very young face, and want to keep it that way!
Any other home remedies or products you suggest for future prevention of wrinkles. I’d like to get into a good habit now, so my skin looks good for as long as possible!
Thanks!!
I have jojoba and avocado oils that I use already… I decided against the crisco when I started learning about coconut oil… I bought a jar, and its amazingggg!!!

I don’t know about that.. I don’t think you can absorb them through the skin, but personally, I’d forget about the Crisco all together (sounds nasty to me), and go with some nice pure jojoba oil, or apricot kernal oil, or sweet almond oil. I’d pick pretty much any pure plant oil over Crisco. I’m a 32-year old smoker and drinker, and everyone thinks I’m younger than I am.. It could be anything, but I really think it’s the oils. I’ve been using them for about 10 years – mostly just jojoba. I have a mild face wash I use in the shower, but I use jojoba to clean my face at night, and as moisturizer in the morning. I love it. It seems expensive, but you only need to use a few drops for your whole face.
