Baby Acne causes and cures?
what are some of the causes and any remedies to get rid of it. It just started to show up since I have had to feed her formula cause of a reaction to antibiotics in my milk, that I am taking for a infection. She had to be switched between 3 diffrent formulas and now is on the Simalac Alimentum Advanced. She is doing well on it but the Acne and pimples are getting more.
am using Dreft soap for babies. The Ped. told me its the most hypo allergenic and softest of all soaps.

Nothing – it will go away on its own. It is very common in newborns and can last days or weeks. It is not hurting your baby.
Could be what u are washing the baby’s clothes in.
Use mild detergent.
Baby Acne is caused from the change in hormones since her birth. Don’t do anything. They will go away soon.
I used Hydrocortizone and it cleared up within a day. And my son had it bad. Some of the causes of baby acne is wearing perfume and the purfume rubbing on the baby and a allergic reaction but Hydrocortizone fixes that.
Baby acne is caused by the female hormones from the mothers body. You shouldn’t put anything on it.. no soap or anything. Just gently wash her face with a wet wash cloth during baths.
MY son had it badly when he was a baby. His pediatrician gave me soemthing called cetaphil..I now see it on store shelves like in walmart, walgreens, CVS ect… I put a link below for you to see. It is just a gentle cleanser and moisturizer. You only have to use a pea size amount on a baby’s face. It worked very well for my son and was cleared up in no time.
Usually any signs in a difference of the skin means allergic reaction.
It can be a rash, bumps of any kind, shape, size, or color.
I don’t know how long she was breast fed, but maybe this is her body’s way of “working the ABT out of her systerm” and could be temporary. Also its getting hotter outside, she could have a heat rash that is common in babies.
Until then, keep her little face as clean as possible just using water on a clean cloth used just for her face ONLY. You don’t want to introduce her baby bottom germs onto her face.
I use Witch Hazel on my face, but I don’t know how old your baby is. Witch Hazel is natural and I would think it would not hurt her. Maybe just put some on one cotton swab and apply to only one bump and see if it works. Its a natural astringant.
Also make sure to remove any formula from her face after feeding her. And wash your hands before trying the Witch Hazel. I would put it on my baby.
Its not oily and doesn’t leave any residue on her skin so she could accidently rub it ito her eyes, but keep it away from her eyes.
If the acne doesn’t go away but get worse in few weeks, it maybe an Ezcema. My daughter has the worse ezcema that her doctor actually took a picture of her face to show it to her other patients about what is the “worse scenario”!!! And in the beginning, they said she just has baby acne and “don’t worry”… =S……. Anyway, she is now 14 months old and still has Ezcema once a while. Nothing you can really do about it. Their skin is just too delicated to put on any Hydrcortizone or other medicine. It will thinner their skin. I also switch her detergent to “ALL” which is the most gentle detergent on the market (from my own research). Most of the baby detergent still have some frangrance in it. And for some reasons, Simaclac is also good if your baby have Ezcema. Somehow it make their skin less break out. If you want to know more about Ezcema stuff, I am happy to tell you more. Good luck.
