Are there actually any over the counter products that work for treatment and prevention of facial wrinkles?
At 38, I just noticed the start of a fine wrinkle on my forehead. TV is full of ads promising a youth-full face, but I am naturally a skeptic. Also, as a male, I know nothing of the cosmetics industry. I was wondering if anyone has had a good experience with anything over the counter. I would like to avoid prescription retinol creams (used for a while for acne) due to expense and an unpleasant odor and skin texture during use. I am realistic enough to realize there is no magic cream that gives a fountain of youth, but am curious to see if any of the over the counter creams are worth it. Any advice is appreciated.

Hi Zaiden,
Well you are lucky to just now start noticing wrinkles at 38! Wish we were all that lucky! The best thing for wrinkles will be a retinol treatment and if you want to avoid expensive prescriptions, then I think the best route for you would be purchasing ROC. You can get this at drug stores. Or try Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Intensive Serum. Also, make sure that you are moisturizing properly and protecting your skin with a UVA/UVB protector. Every day, no exceptions. Add some antioxidants into your skin, too. Vitamin C, Green Tea and Tocopherols (Vitamin E) This help fight wrinkles, premature aging, free radicals, etc.

Yes! The best thing you can do for your wrinkles is to buy a DermaRoller. It might be intimidating at first, but the Derma Roller is the only skincare product that can PERMANENTLY remove a wrinkle as well as prevent new ones from forming.
The DermaRoller works through Collagen Induction Therapy. By using tiny, microscopic needles (as long as you’re gentle, you won’t even feel them) to cause inflammation deep within the skin, it causes the skin to create collagen and elastin in response. The skin pushes this collagen and elastin up to the surface, filling in any wrinkles along the way. Over a period of a few months to a year, these wrinkles will disappear completely.
Another advantage to the Derma Roller is that it causes your skincare products to work better. The lower layers of the skin, where cell turnover and collagen production take place, are shielded by the stratum corneum – the hard outer layer of skin consisting mostly of dead skin cells. The DermaRoller pokes through the stratum corneum, giving your skincare products a sort of highway to the layers of the skin they need to reach to do their job.
I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I’m 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I’ve ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It’s unique cause of it’s herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn’t work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.
