Acne/Breakout Prevention?
Every so often, I usually breakout. It can be either a medium breakout or just a pimple pops up which I consider a breakout. I use Proactiv, and the next day (because I use it at night the day before), my face is fine. If some parts of my skin is red, I use coverup (has no bacteria, and is less prone to damaging your face). Then, as the day ends, I touch my face a little bit (ONCE) to see how my face is. I usually discover that at least one pimple has occured, which is very frustrating..because you walk out with a pretty clean face, and the thing you know..you get a zit. How can I prevent this and how does this happen..? Should I wash my face more often (but I heard this is bad since your face gets used to it), or wash my face with baby wipes (use it when you forget to wash face)? What kind of procedures can I do to help me get a cleaner and better face, because it seems the more products/or times I use to wash my face, it kind of gets worse. Help??
By more products, I mean..I use Proactiv in the evening..and if I have time (which I rarely do..tight schedule)..I use Aveeno Daily Mosturizer or I just rub on a Clean & Clear Liquid thing that also prevents acne..in spare time.
You probably understood me wrong. When I touch my face, the pimple is already there. It doesn’t appear as soon as I touch my face..it just somehow ended up there that day.

I wouldn’t use anything that contains any of the chemicals on this page:

Benzoyl peroxide is on the list
This is happening because of the oils on your skin. Do you know your skin combination? I’m guessing sensitive because my sister has the same thing and she can only use certain products(ones without fragrance) or else she breaks out and if people tough her face or she touches it she gets zits. The only time she can touch her face is right after she has washed her hands-so i’m guessing it’s the oils from your hands cauing you to breakout. If you need to touch your face wash your hands with soap and water but just try not to touch it to much and see if it works.
theres this stuff called nature’s cure, you can get it at places like k-mart, walmart, ect. its real cheap and its very inexpensive, its a series of pills and a break out cream, worked wonders for me.
Just don’t touch your face, wash your face with a regular soap one that doesn’t have a lot of oils and wash it every night, i only use baby wipes when it is late and i am tired i just wipe my face with a baby wipe. That’s how my face says clear of breakouts.
P.S. I only use Proactive when i get major breakouts
first, proactive is not meant for just one pimple. it contains benzyl peroxide which will eventually dry the skin and cause breakouts. try using products with salicylic acid instead. also different places on the face where there is redness tells you about certain problems you are dealing with…example redness/acne/breakouts and cheeks = respiratory problems. redness on lower cheeks/jawline= hormonal. where are you having problems???
wash your face often with medicated soap with lukewarm water. Apply face pack based on clay or sandalwood powder. Both are equally good for pimple prone skin.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
