Acne medication for those allergic to benzoyl peroxide?
I am a teenager who needs help for acne medication. I am allgeric to benzoyl peroxide so I can not use ProActiv or Nature’s Cure. Are there any wellknown acne products that work that do not contain benzoyl peroxide? Thanks.

Many drugstore brand products like Neutrogena, Clean and Clear, etc. contain salicylic acid, rather than benzoyl peroxide, which is the main fighting ingredient for acne in those brands.
Use noxema it works i used it too i don’t know if it has benzoyl peroxide tho
maybe this one, it says it’s all natural http://www.acne-control.biz
I would try witch hazel it is gentle and deep cleaning about three
to four times a day it also helps to control oily areas
Hi I have tried Retin A cream, micro, Proactiv and OTC benzoyl peroxide they are all horrible. Ask your doctor/dermatologist for prescription DIFFERIN GEL it is really great. In about three weeks your skin will be really clear and if you put in on at night after washing you will notice that in the morning any spots aren’t as red. I didn’t have all the horrible drying and peeling associated with Retin A or Benzoyl Peroxide. It also prevents wrinkles I was told. I am over 25 and have been using it for like 7 years it’s great…I have clean clear skin and I always get told I look way younger than I am and that’s a bonus! Give it a try and good luck
Doxycycline – also used as an anti-malarial. ask your doctor
Also, i read somewhere that they were doing some research on shark bile to fight against acne (true)…..just a thought
glycolic peels…so i hear
They are actually MANY other types of medication that does not contain BP.
Okay personally, I recommend T3 (Tea Tree).
It’s natural and doesn’t damage your skin, and it’s really hard to get allergic to NATURAL stuff, right? =)
Use Salicylic products. Try Neutrogena. The scrub and mask in this brand is the best.
Retin A is really the best.
Go to the dermatologist or doctor to get a perscription.
ony spot treat, don’t put it on your entire face.
If you can’t afford it, go to the county hospital and get a generic brand, it works well.
I use Tea Tree Oil, you can find it at your local Bath and Bodyworks. It works very fast, and it’s all natural.
Have you tried using mineral makeup (if you wear makeup!).
It doesn’t irritate the skin and can be calming to your skin.
puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
Try a gentle herbal face wash and acne gel. This site has has great info
